Farley's 2019 started with a return trip to Waldameer because why not? We neglected to check the hours for the park so our great plan to be there at the moment it opened did not go so well... nothing like walking in to an amusement park and seeing NONE of the rides going....But Presque Isle made for a nice alternate activity for an hour (see previous post) and then we were back in action. We are convinced that it is ALWAYS a beautiful day at Waldameer. And there are NEVER any lines for rides, as proved by empirical evidence from all two of our visits.
Ferris wheel was running today. Yay!
It was a different experience with just our family. The two kiddos had to rely on only one another and ended up being sweet ride companions. Thank you, Waldameer, for this moment of sibling joy.
Another great thing about Waldameer? Dog friendly. Winter had a great time sniffing all the things and taking in the noise and excitement.
Our travel day also happened to be our anniversary. Number 13, the "Baker's Dozen" anniversary, necessitated a stop at Krispy Kreme.
And then, just a few hours later... this was waiting for us.
Not just the lake but the full complement of family and food and Farley's at its best.
Happy Anniversary indeed!
