Early April

Early April brought us: the start of 4th quarter at school, pleasant weather, daffodils, an adult easter egg hunt, a visit from Jamison, lake days, Palm Sunday, a poetry reading and a margarita tower, dyeing eggs with friends, and Drag Bingo.

Never a dull moment, people. Never a dull moment.

No further narration tonight because I'm posting about early April in solidly mid to late April. Pictures are worth a thousand words, right?

Happy Easter from Aurora

I found myself casting about a bit this Easter.  I've been "keeper of the traditions" in my little family for many years now-- but my mom was the "starter of traditions" for all of us, and spending time with her on holidays was a part of the experience.  I barely mustered the energy to put out our Easter decor and was feeling daunted by the planning of the day itself. So we ran away to Aurora and it was perfect.

We checked off the important traditions- we baked cookies, had ham, hunted eggs and went to church.  We saw Betsy and Peter and Randy and Amy and Sarah and Joe. The sun shined and the lake was gorgeous.  Even Jack allowed as how the trip was "really nice."

Blessings abound.
