May flies...

I blinked and May disappeared.  Somehow it is the second half of the month and I have one crazy-full week of school left for this year and I hardly have time to breathe much less enjoy it...We've hosted several new boarders, finished out a soccer season, done a bunch of laundry, attended an abundance of morning meetings, stayed up late with a sick girl, snuggled in during a spring snowstorm, packed lunches, and spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get our children to eat at mealtimes.

You know, the usual.

In the midst of this flying time-- some moments that stood out...

A park-walk last Wednesday.  A spring-ish evening for a change in this unseasonably cold month...

So many perfectly round dandelions!  For a while the children were running through the field, kicking the seeds free.  Ran into some neighbor kids who loved on Corydon.  Love.
Soccer went out with a bit of a whimper due to a cold and rainy weekend-- indoor games at the Field House.  That ball sure moves fast on the cement floor!  Actually, Jack's games were pretty exciting, as they played as a team of three.  Loved seeing my boy take a leadership role, calling the out-of-bounds and driving the ball down the field.  He bounced back from a fall on the cement and a couple of disappointing goal calls (the idea of fairness becomes nebulous when the "goal" is just two cones...) to play like a madman in game three.  So impressed with him.

Sunday.  Well.  What do you say about a grey, wet, snowy morning on May 15th?  We kind of sat around and glared at the snow for the day.  That is all.

Fast forward to this Wednesday.

 That's more like it.

Have I ever mentioned I love where I live?  Goslings, sunlight, artwork, friendly people, and freaking rainbows in the misty fountain.  Amazing.

Then, Thursday-- Becca's graduation!

This girl has worked hard and come so far and we are so proud of her.

While the graduation ceremony was a bit...long... I was glad the kids came.  Inspiring for them, I think.

Ivy was so excited to wave at Becca and watch her walk across that stage...

Heading into another weekend tonight. Dreaming of catching up on sleep but that may have to wait.  May is flying onward and I need to keep up!
