Little Fish
Ivy has been waiting for this little inner-tube all her life. She picked it out yesterday afternoon and toted it proudly to the water. Upon being placed in the lake in it, she promptly began spinning, kicking, splashing, floating, and otherwise enjoying herself immensely for the next half hour or so. All of a sudden, she's a little fish.
So's the boy. As long as he has his goggles on, anyway. (Don't they make him look special??) He actually joined in at swim lessons today and was one of the most competent littles out there. Only took two sessions of refusing/watching/sulking at the edge of the water for him to realize swim lessons weren't going to kill him...Sigh.. Our boy. As Nat says, he's just being exactly who he is...
Here are a few other shots from yesterday.
We've been close to home and perfecting the art of sitting around at the point these last few days. This morning's big outing was to do laundry at Lulu's house. Also, Ivy and I spent a while watching Corydon play with the (utterly adorable) English Cocker puppy next door. Living it up, aren't we? Right now the sun is shining, the breeze is soft, the cousins are playing on the porch and Jack is waiting (not so) patiently for me to let him watch some video of a guy catching a fish..
Oh yeah, and we haven't used any diapers around here for two days. Just had to brag. :) There's been a whole lot of naked baby bottoms and talking about pee around here, and its great.
