All Summer in a Day

A new tradition has been born:  Starting the summer with a trip to Waldameer.

We met our friends for a day of amusement and sunshine in the park that time forgot and it was perfect, start to finish.  Ideal weather, cool and bright.   No lines for rides.  Happy, happy children.  Lots of fried food.  We were so enchanted that we bought season passes.  What's a 2 hour drive when you get this kind of magic.

These two big boys were off on their own most of the day.  A lot of time and money were spent at the arcade, and at least one jackpot was won...

This girl is a dart shark. Who knew she could pop two balloons out of three throws??

Best ride at the park, in my opinion...

Six hours of rides later, we took our exhausted crew to dinner at Sarah's Restaurant.  Equally magical, and both affordable and delicious.

And, we discovered, literally across the street from the beach at Presque Isle State Park.  So we ended our day like this.
