First Farley's!

We had this weekend, and it was free... why not head to Farley's?

Best. Choice.  Ever.

It was a stunning weekend, complete with a stunning thunderstorm midway through.  Swimming, canoeing, a heavy dose of sitting around in the side yard, and Nat even got out for a ski.
Not one but two full family dinners to bookend the trip, with plenty of cousin time in between.  At one point both of our children were down the point at a friend's house.  Without us.

We're living the dream, baby.

With no further ado:
setting the loooong table...

This was Ivy's outfit of choice for most of the weekend.  Sometimes, she did her dancing ON the table.  Particularly if there was an audience...

Jack spent a great deal of time on the little dock, tirelessly practicing his cast with a lure and no hook..

We had a most amazing series of storms on Sunday.  Trees were sideways against the windows, driving horizontal rain, Adirondack chairs flying across the road, tables turning over.  We huddled down in the leaky little cottage, 5 children and three adults and lots of vintage games.  It was cozy and good.

After the rain... .who needs a lake when you have a puddle.

Our girl went back to napping for the weekend. AND slept through the night.  Love that lake air!

Ivy captured the heart of a few of the "big girls" down the point, and loved visiting them at the "red doors" cottage...
