Nat arrived home the day before Thanksgiving and because we apparently don't like to be at home, we were in the car about 5 hours later heading to Aurora for the holiday. Without our "Gathering at Gertie's" happening in Strasburg this year, we were a bit adrift. So, we anchored ourselves at Claire's beautiful house where we baked and frosted and cooked and created- and had a most lovely small Thanksgiving meal.
A real treat was brunch the next day with ALL of Randy's family in one place- no small feat with three in college.
We celebrated all of the November birthdays and had a great time catching up with these amazing kids.
Home again just in time to jump start the Christmas season.
Caroling with Windsong...
... a chance to see Cirque de Soleil with friends (AMAZING!)...
... and our annual trip to Manner's Tree Farm.
The Christmas vilage has two tray-table annexes this year because we cannot be stopped.
Don't try to play set with cats.
Started some decorating and realized we have a candlestick problem...
Barn time...
... friend time (when did these babies of ours get SO tall?)...
.. and pool time for the Hilltopper meet. Jack's season is off to a great start!
