Here we are, friends.  We've made it to March!  Spring is on the way and the world has a hopeful cast to it.  The end of February was a lot for our family, with our energies devided between the running of our daily lives, swimming, skiing, singing, and helping Gram to transition from her rehab stay in skilled nursing to her new spot at the Windor Heights Memory Care facility.  An intense period of coordination, setting up hospice service to help her with wound care, tying up loose ends at McGregor, signing paperwork at Windsor Heights... followed by an intense weekend of packing and moving furniture and clothing and odds and ends, half of it going to mom and half to Lucknow, to be put to use when and if we ever get that place renovated.

Here's a little photo tour of the craziness...
Botanical Gardens for Orchid Mania!

Reconnecting with my lovely running friend.  Her life has been almost as crazy as mine but we have vowed to try to get back at this.  Slowly.  With a lot of walking.
My mom's new digs.  We love this new facility, so full of light and kind people.

Settling in with some Scrabble!
Finally got our whole family to Alpine at once, for one of my last ski patrol shifts...
It's been far from the best ski season, for sure, but we are blessed to all enjoy this hobby together.
Our boys at Sectionals!  So proud of thse kids.

West Shore winter concert number one.  Direct from moving mom, to concert ready in 35 minutes flat.  Worth it to sing in this gorgeous space.

Nat ad I took tango lessons on a random Wednesday!  Why not!  It was pretty fun even if we were very not good at it.

I got a new car on a random Thursday!   Because why not?  They made me a good deal when I took my CRV in for serice.  Not sure still if I love it-- I rather miss my SUV it turns out (how the mighty have fallen!  I was NEVER going to have an SUV!).  But she is a hybrid, with a leather interior, and drives like silk.  Gonna get her a roof rack for the kayak and it'll be good.
Gram's birthday.  Ivy made the cake of course.

And a moment at the lake on a blue sky day.  We've not been to the beach as much as normal this winter (another testament to the craziness of life this year) so it felt good to get a little hit of lake time.

Final patrol shift...
... then off to Peak n Peek the next day.

I got in 4 hours of surprisingly good skiing for March 5th before heading back to Cleveland for my next WSC concert.
Lots of time to bond with my new car...

Then straight to Severance for a Conductor rehearsal for the Requiem-- and a great night out with these ladies.

Heading into another work week, feeling like I need a weekend to recover from my weekend (what else is new?), perpetually tired... but so grateful.  For the people in my life and the beautiful things I get to do with my spare time and for sunrises like this one- a reassurance from the universe that everything is almost always ok.
