Happy Fourth!

We are at Farley's for the Fourth again this year, for a number of scheduling reasons.  The Fourth is lovely here but I do find myself a little melancholy as we had planned to be a part of the Somerton celebration.  I feel the most connected to our neighborhood on that day, and the time spent with neighbors always feels like an investment.  Looking forward to being back home next year.  For now, I am enjoying...

Sunsets on the lake...
...family on the dock...
...the cozy little cottage (and our NEW, and oh-so-comfy sleeper sofa, which looks exactly like the old one...)
...little bunny who has settled in so well, and who seems to enjoy looking at the lake...

...making up for lost time with my "mama's girl"...

...watching fireworks with the crew (pictured here, the July 3rd show...)

...watching my kids with their Lulu (they had a terrific week with her!)...

.. a cute little July 4th parade (but missing the Somerton band...)

...these cousins!  (how are they so big???)
 ...the whole Farley's Point Community....

...big boys setting off bottle rockets all on their own...

...Family dinner with seating for 26...

...the new deck!  (which looks like it has always been here, in a "just right" sort of way)...

 ...did I mention sunsets?...

...and these big boys and their fireworks?....

..July 4th fireworks show on the dock, with 5 other shows going on around the lake...

...Swimming lessons at Harris Park...

Reese, Ivy, and Izzy-- the inseparable 3...

We are excited to see what our master teacher, Kelly, does with the kids this year.  Already after two days of lessons, Jack is diving off the raft and doing rotary breathing, and Ivy is jumping off the raft without a life jacket.

 So much to enjoy here.
